Virtual Conference Platform

An international industry association in the product data management field had to run its annual conference entirely online. It required parallel programme tracks, simultaneous interpretation, workshops, exhibitor presence and contact between attendees - with protected broadcasts and integration with the existing registration system.

The platform was built as a Laravel application with a Livewire interface. The live picture is not openly reachable but released through short-lived signed tokens per channel and origin. Each language runs on its own channel, so attendees can switch between original audio and interpretation mid-broadcast.

Around the stage came real-time chat and Q&A, a personal agenda with calendar export, workshops, exhibitor profiles and a contact function. Editors maintain the programme themselves, and attendee records arrive through a secured interface from the registration system.

The conference could be held entirely online, with protected broadcasts, two language versions and a programme that editors and organisers maintain themselves. The architecture developed here - stage, roles, real-time interaction and exhibitor area - became the foundation for later event platforms.
